About

I was born in Regina, SK and have lived in many places across Western Canada from North Vancouver, BC to the village of McCreary, MB where I taught myself art in 2012 and started professionally drawing portraits in November 2014 while living in Calgary, AB. I am currently on tour in Europe for the summer of 2019 and will return to my home at New Motion Art Gallery in Calgary, AB.

I started my art career by drawing memorial portraits for a friend in Leeds, UK in November 2014. After this event occurred, I became aware of my gift to help heal with art. I immersed myself into drawing every day, from followers from Instagram to pet portraits, often sitting for hours in a coffee shop before and after work, feeling powerful connections to the subjects.

During the summer of 2015, I went to Europe to research a book project which I have been passionately been working on for a few years and stumbled into donating some of my time on a 6m x 2m wall mural in a social club in Amsterdam. I was truly grateful and humbled by this opportunity. While in Europe, I visited many museums but mostly connecting with living artists out in market spaces and friends with whom I met on social media, making family along the way.

I am truly grateful for finally realizing my passion, even if it came later in life. It humbles me every day when I think about where some of my portraits are located around the globe from Stockholm, Sweden to Perth, Australia. I am inspired and challenged every day to persist and create as much art before I leave this plane. From learning to body paint to creating a deck of Indigenous Totem Animals, I feel creativity has no limits. Learning has no limits. Challenging yourself to be your best self, live your most authentic life, is my main goal in life.

If you are going to be passionate, be passionate about whom you are. And do it with LOVE.
